Projects in the back yard
What began as a simple plan to turn the back yard into something less ankle-breaking, has evolved considerebly. First we decided on a concrete patio, which came in a bit too small (we all know why). Next came the automatic sprinkler system. Then 60 yards of soil to cover over the existing "lawn". Now we're adding a stone paver sitting area for a fire pit, and when the weather finallly warms up, we'll seed a new lawn. The whole project is of course taking a lot longer than planned, but I think we'll have a great backyard to play in this summer. My favorite part was turning on the sprinkler system and finding NO leaks! JD's favorite part was the Bobcat delivering the soil, and watching/supervising Papa working through the back window. With lots of help from Katie, Uncle Will, Uncle Gabe and anyone else unlucky enough to stop by and get involved somehow, thanks! He are a few photos of the project up to now.
